    Who’s Buying in France

Latest figures from French Ministry of Toursim reveal there are 2.9 million second homes in France with over 50% owned by foreigners (50% rise since 1997).

93% are European with the Brits topping the list with 28.5%. Then come the Italians (14%), Swiss (12%), Gerrmans (11%), Belgians (10%), Dutch (8%), Spanish (3%) and Americans (3%). Since 2001 the Irish has shown the biggest rise in ownership with an 86% increase.

    Where are they buying?

Not surprisingly the largest concentration is along the Med Coast. Top areas:
    Alpes Maritimes (17%)
    Var (9%)
    Paris (7%)
    Haute Savoie (5%)
    Herault (4%)
    Pyrenees-Orientales (4%)

    See you there!
